Many people, specially women, tend to spend a huge amount of time when it comes to taking care of their skin. They need an extra couple of minutes to apply different lotion to help nurture their skin whenever they are going somewhere, and even bring an umbrella with them to shield their skin from the harm that the sun can do to it. Other people even adjust their diet and consume more fresh foods such as vegetables and fruits with is proven to help with a much more healthier skin. But aside from doing things that help with our skin's health, what can we avoid to prevent any kind of skin irritation that can damage it? Well, there can be a lot of things, but here are the most common things that we should avoid:
Staying up late - Well, this reason is not just bad for the skin, but bad for your overall health. As much as possible, we need to avoid staying up for extra hours just to finish binge watching a show or browsing the internet for cat videos. The main reason for this is sleep deprivation. Being deprived of sleep can really contribute a lot when it comes to damaging the skin. This is due to the fact that we need sleep for our body to re-balance its hydration so that our skin's moisture will improve which helps with the restoration of skin cells. In addition, our body usually detoxifies itself during our sleep, which gets rid of most kinds of toxin from our skin.
Cleanliness - It is not really something that we should stop doing, but rather should start doing. It is an obvious fact that being hygienic can really help out on taking care of our skin. But we should not stop at hygiene, we should also consider the things that are usually in direct contact with our skin. Pillows, Bed linen, cushions, and even your couch, all these can accumulate germs which can cause different skin irritation. Well, of course you can buy a new set of bed linen or pillows at a random store here in Singapore, but it is not really necessary to get new stuff every once in a while. What we should do is that we should take care of these things as well, make sure that they are regularly cleaned and washed, so that it can harm our skin less.
Use of different products for the skin - When it comes to skin care products, there are thousands of them to choose from and all of them have different chemicals contents that produce various reactions from our skin. And most of the time, it is not usually a good idea to use cheap products as they often do more damage than protecting our skin. Instead of applying different skin care products to our skin, it might actually be better if we start to take care of it naturally, such as eating foods that are high in antioxidants like colorful fruits and leafy vegetables.
