Hungry at midnight? Looking for somewhere to grab some food but where do you go? –almost all restaurants will be closed by now? In most of the cities, you are probably destined to grab some 24-hour fast food joint for a burger or fries but here in Kuala Lumpur things work differently. KL is known for their melting pot of cultures; therefore the vast food range offered is bound to be disparate, but let me tell you that this city loves to serve food literally during any hour of the day or night. I have listed some four favourite after-midnight food joints in Kuala Lumpur, get your bus tickets from Redbus and hit the streets of Kuala Lumpur to enjoy diversified cuisine: 1. Hayaki Café, Uptown- they have a few branches around the city check out their round-the-clock Damansara Utama outlet if you are ever in need of dinner outside usual hours. Hayaki Cafe serves local dishes in comfort food style – huge portions of rice, a generous amount of sides and juicy meat. Yum! 2.Kaw Kaw Burger Bakar- The crack about 24-hour fast food burger joints notwithstanding. One of the most famous roadside burger stalls in the city, Kaw Kaw Burger Bakar is a 10-minute walk from the Wangsa Maju LRT station. 3. Devi’s corner, Bangsar- Opposite to Bangsar Village shopping centre, this restaurant is one of KL’s glowing gems. Serving Indian food in a simple, they serve excellent South Indian cuisine at moderate prices. The vadais (lentil balls) are a delicious but the kitchen’s strength lies with its meat dishes – they make yummy chilli-infused fried fish cutlets. 4. Suzi’s Corner, Jalan Ampang- Suzi’s Corner is a food-court style restaurant with numerous hawker stalls under one roof, so you’ll find a variety of cuisine available here, open for 24 Jam hours, as popular mentioned by the locals.
