The best luxury hotels of Singapore are known to consist of some of the most famous and internationally known names as well as some hotels that you are bound to not recognise instantly. These hotels are considered to be the gems and sapphires of the hospitality industry.
Ritz Carlton Hotel – Singapore this hotel is known to have regency style fittings, amenities and facilities. The windows span right from the floor to the ceiling and are known to offer unobstructed views of the beautiful skyline of Singapore. You can also view the wonders of the Marina Bay while sitting on a couch in your hotel room. The hotel is just 20 to 30 minutes away by road from the Changi Airport of Singapore. Based on my experience I felt that this hotel has some of the largest guest rooms. The hotel also has a dedicated area where it hosts about 4200 contemporary art collections by some of the most popular and world-renowned artists like Andy Warhol and Frank Stella. The hotel is surrounded with rocks, landscapes gardens and a huge outdoor swimming pool. It is just a short walk away from the Theatres by the Bay Play house which makes this hotel a must visit for any traveller. A stay here will cost you about SGD448 and the cost is definitely worth it. Spanned across 6 floors it has about 608 guest rooms and 2 restaurants with modern decor. It also has a full service spa with the hotels very own signature spa treatments. If you are travelling along with your kids you will be delighted to know that the hotel also has a children’s club. If you are fitness enthusiast the hotel also has a 24 hour fitness centre with some of the best trainers. Tea and Coffee vending machines are almost available in all common areas. I could get Wi-Fi connectivity not just in my room but across the entire premises.
Raffles Hotel – Singapore This hotel opened its doors to the people in the year 1887 and has since then seen thousands of visitors every month. It is one of the oldest and one of the world’s most famous hotels. The best part about this hotel is that famed literature personalities and VVIPs prefer this hotel for a stay. The hotel is strategically located right in the heart of the financial district of Singapore. Raffles Hotel is a tourist attraction in its own right with one of the most beautiful colonial ambiences and pages and pages of history behind the grand white walls. A stay here will cost you about SGD6000 and you will be staying in one of the 103 premiers suites of this hotel. You can visit nearby landmarks like Raffles City, Esplanace Theatre and the Peranakkan Museum.
I booked my bus tickets from Malaysia to these two hotels in Singapore via this Bus booking website called redbus.sg. I was quite happy with the experience since mine was a last minute booking and there were still plenty of buses plying on this route. The top Operators plying daily buses were Seasons Express, 5 Star Tools and Star Mart Express.
